Triple Trouble Gift Card Tag Tutorial

Manila tags are very popular in the stamping and scrapbooking world. I was lucky enough o find a picnic basket full of tags last year and have been slowly selling them in my etsy shop, Triple Trouble, and decided to stamp a bunch and share this idea for a gift card holder.

I started with the tags and stamped them with a big image, this one is a script print, but any would do. Stamp it towards the top to make a nice background behind the pocket.
Then score the bottom of the tag 2" from the bottom. Fold this to crease the score line. Then hand punch some paper lace or buy some from my etsy shop. The lace shown below is actually white card stock. The paper lace in this tutorial is hand punched from vintage writing paper.
The paper lace has a good side which is smooth and a rough side, which is not as nice. Be sure to line up your lace in the punch correctly, keeping the pattern identical and the sides identical. Punch your paper lace pieces 3" long to fit perfectly over the pocket.
Once you have your paper lace punched, place the lace smooth side up, on the folded pocket. Staple in place or sew a seam, to secure the pocket.

Gift cards fit just right or photographs, mini candy bars, what else?

I think I will offer these gift cards during the holidays with a bonus gift card! Buy one get one free!
